ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-918

An ordinance authorizing the Director of Parks and Recreation, or his designee, to accept, execute and record agreements with Trinet Trust for grant of easements on a parcel of property for use in the greenway system (2002M-001G-14).

Whereas, pursuant to the terms of the document attached as Exhibit A to this ordinance, Trinet Trust has agreed to donate to the Metropolitan Government a permanent easement on a certain parcel of property abutting the Stones River; and

Whereas, pursuant to the terms of the document attached as Exhibit B to this ordinance, Trinet Trust has agreed to donate to the Metropolitan Government a temporary easement on a certain parcel of property abutting the Stones River; and

Whereas, the easements will be used to construct, operate and maintain portions of the greenway system; and

Whereas, the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County will benefit by accepting the donated easements.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The Director of Parks and Recreation, or his designee, is authorized to accept, execute and record the agreement for dedication of easement (Exhibit A).

Section 2. The Director of Parks and Recreation, or his designee, is authorized to accept, execute and record the agreement for dedication of easement (Exhibit B).

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
