ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-882

An ordinance approving a grant from the Target Corporation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Office of the Sheriff for bullet resistant vests.

Whereas, the Target Corporation has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed one thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($1,250) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Office of the Sheriff for bullet resistant vests for officers; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant from the Target Corporation to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through Office of the Sheriff, in an amount not to exceed one thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($1,250), for bullet resistant vests for officers, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
