An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of the donation of certain property (Tax Map 86, Parcel 38) at 4300 Chandler Road for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Department of Public Works (Proposal No. 2001M-111G-14).

WHEREAS, the owner of Parcel 38 on Tax Map 86 desires to donate said parcel to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, for the benefit of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the acceptance of this property will increase the right-of-way width of certain portions of Chandler Road; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the Director of Public Property have approved the acceptance of said property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized to accept title from the owner of the aforementioned property (Tax Map 86, Parcel 38) and shown on the map identified as Exhibit A and attached hereto and made part of this ordinance.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, requiring it.
