ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-844

An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of the donation of certain property (Tax Map 61-11, Parcels 299 and 305) on Matthews Avenue for the use and benefit of the Metropolitan Department of Public Works (Proposal No. 2001M-093U-05).

WHEREAS, the owners of Parcels 299 and 305 on Tax Map 61-11 desire to donate said parcels to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, for the benefit of the Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the acceptance of these properties will increase the right-of-way width of certain portions of Matthews Avenue by one foot; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the Director of Public Property have approved the acceptance of said property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized to accept title from the owners of the aforementioned property (Tax Map 61-11, Parcels 299 and 305) and shown on the maps identified as Exhibit A and attached hereto and made part of this ordinance.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, requiring it.
