ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-826

An ordinance abandoning the sewer lines and easements on Map 108, Parcel 66 and Map 121, Parcel 4, (Proposal No. 2000M-132U-13) of Project No. 99-SL-247, Metro Airport Sewer Lines and Easements Abandonments.

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority is the owner of real property encumbered by sewer lines and sewer easements; and,

WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewerage Services has no need for the said public sewer lines and easements; and,

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority has need for the use of the sewer lines as private service lines; and,

WHEREAS, all parties are agreeable to the abandonment of the public sewer lines and easements of Project Nos. 82-SL-74 and 84-SL-152 on Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority property and have approved the conversion of the public sewer lines to private service lines; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission of Nashville and Davidson County has already approved the abandonment of said easements and conversion to private service lines.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the sewer lines and the sewer easements shown on Map 108, Parcel 66 (formerly Map 107, Parcel 59 and Map 108, Parcels 11, 77, 82, 83 and 84) and Map 121, Parcel 4 (formerly Map 108, Parcels 81.1, 88, 89, 90 and 92), and were known as Project Nos. 82-SL-74 and 84-SL-152, are declared abandoned for public use and converted to private service lines, and the below signed are hereby authorized to execute the appropriate instruments to carry out such abandonments and conversion.

SECTION 2: That this ordinance take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
