ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-684

An ordinance abandoning the water lines and easements on Map 104-12, Parcels 307, 308 and 312 (2001M-007-10), Project No. 99-WL-253, Belmont College Water Lines and Easement Abandonments.

WHEREAS, Belmont College, Inc., is the owner of real property encumbered by water lines and easements; and,

WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewerage Services has no need for the said easement; and,

WHEREAS, Belmont College, Inc., has need for the use of the water lines as private service lines; and,

WHEREAS, all parties are agreeable to the abandonment of the public water lines and easements of Project No. 99-WL-253 on Belmont College property and have approved the conversion of the public water lines to private service lines; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission of Nashville and Davidson County has already approved the abandonment of said easements and conversion to private service lines.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the water lines and the water easements shown on Map 104-12, Parcels 307, 308 and 312, are declared abandoned for public use and converted to private service lines, and the below signed are hereby authorized to execute the appropriate instruments to carry out such abandonments and conversion.

SECTION 2: That this ordinance take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
