ORDINANCE NO. BL2001-583

An ordinance approving a lease by and between the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency ("MDHA") and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Public Schools of Nashville and Davidson County, to provide a facility at 3810 Georgia Court for the One Room Drop-In School for educational services to be offered to at-risk families.

Whereas, MDHA will lease to the Metropolitan Government and the Metropolitan Government will lease from the MDHA premises located at Unit 08322, 3810 Georgia Court, a facility for providing a One Room Drop-In School to provide educational services to at-risk families;

Whereas, there is no monetary consideration provision for the services to be performed, and the parties have agreed to accept and abide by the terms set forth in said Lease for a term of one year, commencing on October 1, 2000 and extending through September 30, 2001 at 11:59 p.m.; and,

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that said Lease be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the Lease by and between the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency ("MDHA") and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Public Schools of Nashville and Davidson County, for the provision of a facility for the One Room Drop-In School to offer services to at-risk families, and for a term beginning on October 1, 2000 and extending through September 30, 2001 at 11:59 p.m., be and the same is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute said Lease.

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its enactment, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
