ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-562

An ordinance approving the sale of certain property held by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee (Map 93-16, Parcel 425; 79 Robertson Street).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns certain property located at 79 Robertson Street; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has determined that this property (see attached Exhibit A) is not needed for general governmental purposes; and

WHEREAS, this property was obtained by the Metropolitan Government by the previous owner's failure to pay property taxes; and

WHEREAS, the Public Property Administration has established a minimum selling price of $1000.00 for said property; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to sell property, subject to the approval of the Metropolitan County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan County Council declares that the following parcel of land held by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

Map 93-16, Parcel 425
79 Robertson Street

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized to sell, for a minimum amount of $1000.00, the said property listed above to an adjacent property owner in accordance with established rules and regulations and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

SECTION 3. The proceeds from the sale of said property shall be credited to the General Fund of the Metropolitan Government.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
