ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-519
An ordinance approving a shared parking agreement between the Edmondson Pike Medical Center LLC, and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Nashville Public Library, allowing the Edmondson Pike Medical Center to use the Edmondson Pike Library parking lot and in return allowing the Edmondson Pike Library to use the Edmondson Pike Medical Center parking lot.
Whereas, the Edmondson Pike Library and the Edmondson Pike Medical Center have adjoining parcels of land; and,
Whereas, the Edmondson Pike Medical Center needs additional parking spaces to obtain a valid use and occupancy permit in accordance with the Metropolitan Code of Laws; and,
Whereas, the Edmondson Pike Library expects to need additional parking for special events held at that library; and,
Whereas, there will be no cost to the Metropolitan Government; and,
Whereas, the attached Shared Parking Agreement will fulfill the additional parking needs of the Edmondson Pike Library and the Edmondson Pike Medical Center.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.
Section 1. That the attached Shared Parking Agreement allowing the Edmondson Pike Medical Center and the Edmondson Pike Branch Library to share parking, be and the same is hereby ratified and approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Shared Parking Agreement..
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO
ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-519
Mr. President:
I move to amend Ordinance No. BL2000-519 by deleting the following phrase from Section 1 thereof:
"... and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Shared Parking Agreement."
