ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-510

An ordinance approving the sale of certain property owned by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee (Parcel 177, Tax Map 72-5; 3010 Ambrose Avenue).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns certain improved property located at 3010 Ambrose Avenue, said property having previously been used for Parents Anonymous of Tennessee and originally acquired as part of the Public Works East Center; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has determined that this property (see attached Exhibit A) is not needed for general governmental purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Public Property Administration has established a minimum selling price of $75,000.00 for said property; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to sell property, subject to the approval of the Metropolitan County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan County Council declares that the parcel of land listed below and owned by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

Tax Map 72-5, Parcel 177
3010 Ambrose Avenue

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized to sell, for a minimum amount of $75,000.00, the said property listed above in accordance with established rules and regulations and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

SECTION 3. The proceeds from the sale of said property shall be credited to the General Fund of the Metropolitan Government.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
