ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-504

An ordinance approving a grant from the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Juvenile Court training of youth services officers.

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth, has awarded a grant in an amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Juvenile Court for training of youth services officers; and
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through Juvenile Court, for training of youth services officers, in an amount not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000) a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That any amendments to this Grant shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
