ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-501

An ordinance accepting the donation of three Steyr Scout rifles to the Metropolitan Police Department S.W.A.T. Unit from the Nathanson Foundation.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Police Department operates a S.W.A.T. Unit; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Police Department wishes to accept a donation of three Steyr Scout rifles from the Nathanson Foundation for use by the S.W.A.T. Unit; and

Whereas, the Police S.W.A.T. Unit has the need for equipment.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Metropolitan Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the donation of three Steyr Scout rifles by the Nathanson Foundation to the Metropolitan Government, Department of Police, S.W.A.T. Unit, is accepted.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
