ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-435

An ordinance authorizing a grant in an amount not to exceed three thousand one hundred and forty eight dollars ($3,148.00) between the State of Tennessee, Department of State, and the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Public Library, to support participation in the statewide online Interlibrary Loan System.

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Department of State has awarded a grant for the term of September 15, 2000, to December 31, 2000, in an amount not to three thousand one hundred and forty eight dollars ($3,148.00) to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Public Library to support participation in the statewide online Interlibrary Loan System; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to accept this grant.

Now therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of State, for the term of September 15, 2000, to December 31, 2000, in an amount not to exceed three thousand one hundred and forty eight dollars ($3,148.00) to support participation in the statewide online Interlibrary Loan System, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2. Any amendments to this grant may be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council, which receives at least twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
