Bill No. BL2000-425

An ordinance approving a contract between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Middle Tennessee Council / Boy Scouts of America for the provision of special event activities.

Whereas, Middle Tennessee Council / Boy Scouts of America wishes to contract with the Metropolitan Government for special event support for the Middle Tennessee Council Cub/Boy Scout Jamboree to be held October 13, 14, and 15, 2000 at the Saturn Plant in Springhill, Tennessee; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this contract be approved.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the contract by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and Middle Tennessee Council / Boy Scouts of America for the provision of special event activities for the Middle Tennessee Council Cub/Boy Scout Jamboree on October 13, 14 and 15, 2000, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That any amendments to this contract shall be approved by resolution by twenty-one affirmative votes of the Metropolitan Council.

Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
