ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-412

An ordinance approving an agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, and The Social Security Administration (SSA), providing for payment to the Sheriff’s Office for researching and reporting to SSA any inmates in their facilities who receive social security benefits.

Be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the agreement attached hereto and hereby incorporated, by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Social Security Administration (SSA), providing for payment by SSA to the Sheriff’s Office for researching and reporting to SSA any inmates in the Davidson County jails who receive social security benefits.

Section 2. Any amendment to the affiliation agreement must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least 21 affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
