BILL NO. BL2000-346

An ordinance abandoning the sewer lines and easements on Map 91-8, Parcels 149 and 321 and Map 92-9, Parcel 1, (Proposal No. 2000M-051U-08) of Project Nos. 99-SL-213 and 99-WL-206, Preston Taylor Homes Water and Sewer Lines and Easement Abandonment.

WHEREAS, Preston Taylor Homes, LLC, is the owner of real property encumbered by water and sewer lines and easements; and,

WHEREAS, new water and sewer lines have been installed which adequately serves the lots and the neighboring properties; and,

WHEREAS, the water and sewer lines and easements are no longer being used by the Department of Water and Sewerage Services, more particularly described on the plans for Project No. 99-SL-213 and 99-WL-206, Preston Taylor Homes Water and Sewer Lines and Easement Abandonment, on record in the office of the Director of Water and Sewerage Services, said plans are made a part hereof as though copied herein; and,

WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewerage Services has no need for the said easements; and,

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Planning Commission of Nashville and Davidson County has already approved the abandonment of said easements.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. That the water and sewer lines and easements shown on Map 91-8, Parcels 149 and 321 and Map 92-9, Parcel 1, and shown on Project Nos. 99-SL-213 and 99-WL-206, are declared abandoned, and the below signed are hereby authorized to execute the appropriate instruments to carry out such abandonment.

SECTION 2. That this ordinance take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
