Ordinance No. BL2000-338

An ordinance approving an agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD), and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA), providing for review and accreditation of the MNPD.

Be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the agreement attached hereto and hereby incorporated, by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD), and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA), providing for review of MNPD policies and practiced for the purpose of accreditation of MNPD.

Section 2. Any amendment to the affiliation agreement must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least 21 affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
