ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-323

An ordinance accepting grant Z-00-0098490-00 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency in an amount not to exceed $55,000 to subsidize emergency management.

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency has awarded grant Z-00-0098490-00 in an amount not to exceed fifty five thousand dollars ($55,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to subsidize emergency management; and

Whereas, it is to benefit the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That grant Z-00-0098490-00 by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Military, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency in an amount not to exceed fifty five thousand dollars ($55,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to subsidize emergency management, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute the same.

Section 2: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
