An ordinance approving a lease agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Education and Norman Ginsberg for housing of equipment, furniture and surplus property.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Board of Education is in need of space in order to house equipment, furniture and surplus or reusable property; and

Whereas, the Metropolitan Board of Education has negotiated a Lease Agreement of warehouse space at 101 Spence Lane, Nashville, TN with Norman Ginsberg, a copy of which is attached hereto; and

Whereas, the lease is for a period of one (1) year commencing January 1, 2000 and ending December 31, 2000 with an option to renew for four (4) additional terms of one (1) year each; and

Whereas, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said Lease Agreement.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That this Lease agreement with The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Metropolitan Board of Education and Norman Ginsberg for housing of equipment, furniture and surplus property, for a term of one (1) year with an option to renew for four (4) additional terms of one (1) year each, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved.

Section 2: That any amendments to this Lease Agreement shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty one affirmative votes.

Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
