ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-294

An ordinance approving a grant in the amount of $12,000 from the Nashville Prevention Partnership to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation.

Whereas, pursuant to the terms of the document attached as Exhibit 1 and incorporated into this Ordinance by reference, the Nashville Prevention Partnership proposes to make a grant (the "Grant") to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting by and through the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation, (the "Parks Department") in the amount of twelve thousand dollars ($12,000) in recognition of substance abuse prevention activities conducted by the Parks Department; and

Whereas, the citizens of Nashville and Davidson County will benefit by accepting the Grant.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. The Grant is hereby approved.

Section 2. The Director of the Parks Department or his designee is authorized to execute the Grant.

Section 3. Any amendment or supplement to the Grant must be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving at least 21 affirmative votes.

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
