ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-265

An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of a donation of certain property to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, for the use and benefit of the Department of Parks and Recreation (Tax Map 47, Parcels 99 and 111 - Blue Berry Hill Road).

WHEREAS, the owners of Parcels 99 and 111 on Tax Map 47 desire to donate this 7.25 acres, adjacent to Beaman Park, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, for the benefit and use of the Department of Parks and Recreation; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Public Property, have approved the acceptance of said property subject to final approval by the Metropolitan County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Director of Public Property is hereby authorized to accept title, from the owners of the aforementioned property (Tax Map 47, Parcels 99 and 111 - Blue Berry Hill Road) and shown on the map identified as "Exhibit A" and attached hereto and made part of this ordinance.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, requiring it.
