ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-249

An ordinance authorizing the Industrial Development Board of Nashville and Davidson County to participate with the Metropolitan Government, Department of Water and Sewerage Services, for the construction of Project No. 98-WG-65 per the attached Amended Agreement.

WHEREAS, Industrial Development Board of Nashville and Davidson County (IDB) has expressed a desire to provide public water system improvements to certain property in the Candy Lane/Antioch Pike area; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the public to construct the water facility improvements, and IDB is agreeable to paying an increased share of the total cost; and

WHEREAS, Metro Ordinance No. 98-1373 originally authorized the IDB to participate in this project; and

WHEREAS, the IDB received additional monies to assist with funding of the project and are prepared to transfer these monies to Metro Water Services; and

WHEREAS, this work is identified in Metro’s Capital Improvements Budget as Project No. 96-WG-0002.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Government is hereby authorized to accept from the IDB a total amount of $55,972.75 to aid in the construction of the water improvements designated as Project No. 98-WG-65 consistent to the attached amended agreement.

SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
