ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-184

An ordinance approving a grant in the amount not to exceed thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) from the State of Tennessee, Administrative Office of the Courts, to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the provision of the "Divorce Education and Mediation Pilot Project of the Twentieth Judicial District."

Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Administrative Office of The Courts, has agreed to provide an amount not to exceed thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the provision of the "Divorce Education and Mediation Pilot Project of the Twentieth Judicial District"; and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Administrative Office of The Courts, in an amount not to exceed thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the provision of the "Divorce Education and Mediation Pilot Project of the Twentieth Judicial District" is hereby approved.

Section 2. That any amendments to this grant shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one (21) affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
