ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-148

An ordinance authorizing Houston Ezell Corporation to participate with the Metropolitan Government, Department of Water and Sewerage Services to provide the Weatherstone Subdivision Sewerage Service, by the construction of the Peppertree Farms Pumping Station Upgrade and Force Main Extension, Project No. 98-SL-91A.

WHEREAS, Houston Ezell Corporation has expressed a desire to provide public sewer system improvements to certain property in Davidson County, TN known as Weatherstone Subdivision and served by the Peppertree Farms Pumping Station Upgrade and Force Main Extension, Project No. 98-SL-91A; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the public to extend sewerage services to 75 lots in the Weatherstone Subdivision, and Houston Ezell Corporation is agreeable to pay an amount not to exceed $56,000.00 to have such service available; and

WHEREAS, this work is identified in Metro’s Capital Improvements Budget as Project No. 96-SG-0002.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Government is hereby authorized to accept from Houston Ezell Corporation an amount not to exceed $56,000.00 to upgrade the Peppertree Farms Pumping Station and Force Main Extension, Project No. 98-SL-91A.

SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
