ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-139

An ordinance accepting the donation of a sum not to exceed forty-five dollars ($45.00) from the families of Mr. And Mrs. Sherwood Cordell and Mr. And Mrs. Keith Skinner to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Department of Police, in memory of Barbara Birkenmeyer.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Police Department operates a Victim's Intervention Unit; and,

Whereas, the families of Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Cordell and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Skinner have proposed the donation of a sum totaling forty-five dollars ($45.00) in memory of Barbara Birkenmeyer for the purchase of supplies; and,

Whereas, the Victim's Intervention Unit has the need for such supplies.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the donation of a sum not to exceed forty-five dollars ($45.00) from the families of Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Cordell and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Skinner to the Metropolitan Government, Department of Police, Victim's Intervention Unit, in memory of Barbara Birkenmeyer is accepted.

Section 2. That the sum donated shall be deposited in Metropolitan Police Department account number 31110400 for use in purchasing supplies for the Victim's Intervention Unit.

Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
