ORDINANCE NO. BL2000-125
An ordinance approving a grant in an amount not to exceed $25,010 from the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration to the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the 20th Judicial District Attorney General's Office for the Victims of Crime Act Victim Assistance Grant Project.
Whereas, the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, has awarded a grant for a term of October 1, 1999 to June 30, 2000, in an amount not to exceed twenty five thousand ten dollars ($25,010) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the 20th Judicial District Attorney General's Office for the Victims of Crime Act Victim Assistance Grant Project; and
Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:
Section 1. That the grant by and between the State of Tennessee, Department of Finance and Administration, for a term of October 1, 1999 to June 30, 2000, in an amount not to exceed twenty five thousand ten dollars ($25,010) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the 20th Judicial District Attorney General's Office for the Victims of Crime Act Victim Assistance Grant Project, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved, and the Metropolitan County Mayor is authorized to execute the same.
Section 2. That the sum of six thousand two hundred fifty three dollars ($6,253) be provided for the purpose of providing the Metropolitan Governments matching share for the program.
Section 3. Any amendments to this grant may be approved by a resolution of the Metropolitan Council, which receives at least twenty-one affirmative votes.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
