Substitute Bill No. SO99-1528

A substitute ordinance amending Section 4.04.020 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws regarding procurements by the Hospital Authority of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Whereas, certain Metropolitan Government agencies such as MDHA, NES, the Board of Public Education and the MTA are exempt from the provisions of the procurement code (Title 4 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws); and

Whereas, it is deemed in the best interest of the government to provide this same exemption for the Hospital Authority of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1. Section 4.04.020(C) is hereby amended by renumbering the existing subsection 5. as subsection 6. and by adding a new subsection 5. as follows:

5. The Hospital Authority of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
