ORDINANCE NO. O99-1643

An ordinance to amend various sections of Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Code of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, all of which is more particularly described herein.

Mr. President:

I move to amend Chapter 17 of the Code of Laws by amending requirements for loading spaces and screening requirements as follows:

SECTION 1. Sec. 17.20.130 B by removing the word "required" and adding the word "provided". (Size of loading spaces provided).

SECTION 2.   Table 17.20.130 shall be amended by substitution of the following new table therein:

Other uses Based on a recommendation from the Traffic and Parking Engineer subject to approval by the Zoning Administrator.

SECTION 3.Sec. 17.24.060 D shall be amended by deleting this sub section and adopting the following in lieu there of:

"Parking areas servicing multifamily and nonresidential uses which have ten or more parking spaces and are located adjacent to residentially zoned properties without an intervening street shall be screened by a permanent opaque fence or wall at least six feet in height, in addition to the parking area perimeter landscaping or landscape buffer yards required."

SECTION 4. BE IT FURTHER ENACTED. That this Ordinance shall take effect five days from and after its passage upon publication in a newspaper of general circulation in Metropolitan Nashville, and Davidson County, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville, and Davidson County requiring it.

 Mr. President:

I move to amend Ordinance No. O99-1643 by inserting the phrase "(99Z-010T)" in the last line of the bill’s caption before the word "all".
