ORDINANCE NO. O99-1571

An ordinance Approving a Lease Agreement by and Between The Metropolitan Government Of Nashville and Davidson County, Acting Through The Register of Deeds, and Nashville II Partners.

WHEREAS, the Office of the Register of Deeds, located at 103 Metropolitan Courthouse, is currently planned to undergo renovation; and

WHEREAS, the completion of said renovation requires the Office of the Register of Deeds to temporarily remove its operations from 103 Metropolitan Courthouse, thereby requiring the Register of Deeds to secure temporary office space; and

WHEREAS, the Register of Deeds has negotiated a lease for such temporary office space in Suites 100 and 150 of Parkway Towers, 404 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, TN 37201; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said lease agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the Lease Agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting through the Register of Deeds, and Nashville II Partners for the lease of approximately 7,500 square feet of Parkway Towers, 404 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, Tennessee 37201, as further described in the Lease Agreement, for use as temporary office space for a term of ten (10) months, at a base rent of $8,437.50 per month, copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring.
