ORDINANCE NO. O99-1568

An ordinance approving the sale of certain property held by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee (Parcel 28, Tax Map 60; 2915 Brick Church Pike).

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns certain property located at 2915 Brick Church Pike acquired during the widening of Brick Church Pike; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has determined that most of this property (see attached Exhibit A) is not needed for general governmental purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Public Property Administration has established a minimum selling price of $21,000.00 for said property; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to sell property, subject to the approval of the Metropolitan County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan County Council declares that a portion of the following parcel of land held by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

Tax Map 60, Parcel 28
2915 Brick Church Pike

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized to sell, for a minimum amount of $21,000.00, the said property listed above to an adjacent property owner in accordance with established rules and regulations and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

SECTION 3. The proceeds from the sale of said property shall be credited to the General Fund of the Metropolitan Government.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
