ORDINANCE NO. O99-1558

An ordinance approving a lease agreement by and between the Martha O'Bryan Center and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County for the benefit of the Metropolitan Social Services Commission.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission has negotiated a Lease Agreement with the Martha O’Bryan Center to lease office space at 711 South 7th Street for a lease term of July 1, 1998 to June 30, 2001; and

Whereas, the monthly rental payments throughout the lease term is six hundred dollars ($600); and

Whereas, it is to the benefit of the citizens of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this Lease Agreement be approved.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That the Lease Agreement entered into between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County acting by and through the Metropolitan Social Services Commission and the Martha O’Bryan Center for a term of July 1, 1998 to June 30, 2001 for a monthly rental payment of six hundred dollars ($600), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved.

Section 2: That any amendments to this ordinance shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one (21) affirmative votes.

Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
