ORDINANCE NO. O99-1550

An ordinance approving a lease agreement by and between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Nashville Career Advancement Center and Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency.

WHEREAS, the Nashville Career Advancement Center is in need of space in order to provide services to the citizens of Davidson County; and

WHEREAS, the Nashville Career Advancement Center has negotiated a Lease Agreement of office space at 610 North 3^rd Street, Nashville, TN with Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, a copy of which is attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, the lease is for a period of two (2) years commencing January 1, 1999 and ending December 31, 2001; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said Lease Agreement.

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County:

Section 1: That this Lease agreement with Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency for office space for the Nashville Career Advancement Center, a copy of which is attached hereto, is hereby approved.

Section 2: That any amendments to this Lease Agreement shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty one affirmative votes.

Section 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
