ORDINANCE NO. O99-1507

An ordinance authorizing the conveyance of certain property located at 117 Charles E. Davis Blvd. (Pruitt Library) to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee (Map 93-16, Parcel 19).

WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency owns certain property located at 117 Charles E. Davis Blvd., (Map 93-16, Parcel 19); and

WHEREAS, the subject property was leased to the Metropolitan Government for use as the Pruitt Library; and

WHEREAS, Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency in conjunction with the Metropolitan Government has rehabilitated and enlarged the existing library; and

WHEREAS, construction is completed on the property and the Metropolitan Library is prepared to take over the improvements; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to cause certain property to be accepted by conveyance from the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, subject to the approval of the Metropolitan Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1. The Metropolitan Council approves the following land owned by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency to be accepted by The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee: Map 93-16, Parcel 19, being more particularly described in Exhibit A, and attached hereto.

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized to cause certain property to be conveyed from the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency to The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee, and to execute any documents related thereto.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its adoption, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee requiring it.
