ORDINANCE NO. O98-1438

An ordinance authorizing Williamson County Parks and Recreation to participate with the Metropolitan Government for the planning, design and construction of the Nolensville Trunk Sewer, Project No. 98-SG-13.

WHEREAS, substitute Resolution Number P97-797 authorized the Metropolitan County Mayor to execute agreements between the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and other parties pertaining to the provision of sewer service in the Mill Creek drainage area; and

WHEREAS, Williamson County Parks and Recreation has expressed a desire to provide public sewer service in the Nolensville Road area in the city of Nolensville (Williamson County) to serve Nolensville Park; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the public to provide sanitary sewerage service in a portion of Williamson County formerly serviced by or in a service area of Nolensville/College Grove Utility District, and Williamson County Parks and Recreation is agreeable to paying its share of the cost of the trunk sewer in the amount of $2,000.00; and

WHEREAS, this work is identified in METRO’S CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET as Project No. 96-SG-0002.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY.

SECTION 1. That the Metropolitan Government is hereby authorized to accept from Williamson County Parks and Recreation the amount of $2,000.00 at the time of connection as a contribution in aid of construction for improvements designated as Project No. 98-SG-13.

SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
