ORDINANCE NO. O98-1394

An ordinance accepting the donation of the sum $1,650 from Riverwood Neighborhood Alliance, Inc., for the Police Department to purchase a computer for the Police School Services Division at Stratford High School.

WHEREAS, Riverwood Neighborhood Alliance, Inc., has offered to donate the sum of one thousand six hundred fifty dollars ($1,650) to the Metropolitan Government for the purchase of a computer to be placed at Stratford High School for the use of the Police Department’s Police School Services Division; and,

WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and its citizens to accept the donation from Riverwood Neighborhood Alliance, Inc., since it will assist the Police School Services Division in fulfilling its duties;

Now, therefore, be it enacted by the Council of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, that:

Section 1. The donation of the sum of one thousand six hundred fifty dollars ($1,650) for the purchase of a computer to be placed at Stratford High School for use of the Police Department’s Police School Services Division is hereby accepted from Riverwood Neighborhood Alliance, Inc.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.

AMENDMENT NO. 1

TO

ORDINANCE NO. O98-1394

Mr. President:

I move to amend Bill No. O98-1394 by deleting the word resolution in Section 2.
Thereof and in its place inserting the word "ordinance".
