ENACTED 10/06/1998

An ordinance authorizing Gianikas Contractors to participate with the Metropolitan Government, Department of Water and Sewerage Services, for the construction of Project No. 98-WG-64.

WHEREAS, Gianikas Contractors has expressed a desire to provide improved public water service in Parthenon Avenue; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the public to construct the water facility improvements, and Gianikas Contractors is agreeable to paying its proportionate share of the total cost in an amount not to exceed $6,000.00; and

WHEREAS, this work is identified in METRO’S CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET as Project No. 96-WG-0002.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Government is hereby authorized to accept from Gianikas Contractors an amount not to exceed $6,000.00 to aid in the construction of the water improvements designated as Project No. 98-WG-64.

SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
