ORDINANCE NO. O98-1328
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF SERVICE AREAS BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN DEPARTMENT OF WATER AND SEWERAGE SERVICES AND THE NOLENSVILLE/COLLEGE GROVE UTILITY DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE METROPOLITAN MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services can not economically provide water service to this property in Davidson County; and
WHEREAS, both the Nolensville/College Grove Utility District and the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services seek to provide service to their customers in the most economical manner and it being determined by both entities that the interest of their ratepayers would best be served by an exchange of service areas.
NOW, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:
SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Council authorizes the Department of Water and Sewerage Services to relinquish service to the Nolensville/College Grove Utility District for property identified on the Davidson County Tax Maps as Map 101, Parcel 126.
SECTION 2: That the Metropolitan Mayor and the Department of Water and Sewerage Services are authorized to execute the contract attached hereto as Exhibit "A" in order to effectuate this transfer.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall take effect from and its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
