WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County owns a certain parcel of property totaling some 5.00 acres, more or less; and

WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has determined that part of this property, approximately 1.37 acres, more or less (see attached Exhibit A), is not needed for general governmental purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has retained sufficient land for existing and future right-of-way expansion; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration has established a minimum selling price of $31,000.00 for said property; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Property Administration is authorized to sell property, subject to the approval of the Metropolitan County Council and Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY, TENNESSEE:

SECTION 1.The Metropolitan County Council declares that part of the following parcel of land held by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus:

Map 50, Part of Parcel 53
Dickerson Pike at Doverside Drive

SECTION 2. The Director of Public Property Administration is hereby authorized to sell, for a minimum amount of $31,000.00, the said property listed above to an adjacent property owner in accordance with established rules and regulations and to execute the necessary documents pertaining thereto.

SECTION 3. The proceeds from the sale of said property shall be credited to the General Fund of the Metropolitan Government.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
