ORDINANCE NO. O98-1116

AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION TO THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVDISON COUNTY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE JUVENILE COURT FOR A GRIEF AND LOSS GROUP IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,800.

WHEREAS, the Memorial Foundation has approved a grant to the Davidson County Juvenile Court for a "Grief and Loss Group" to serve approximately 120 children who have grief and loss issues. For this service the Memorial Foundation agrees to pay to the Davidson County Juvenile Court Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($4,800.00); and,

WHEREAS, it is to the benefit of the citizens of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County that this grant be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

Section 1. That the grant by and between the Memorial and The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, for the benefit of the Juvenile Court for a "Grief and Loss Group" in an amount not to exceed Four Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($4,800.00), a copy of which is attached hereto, is accepted and the Metropolitan Mayor is authorized to execute same.

Section 2. That any amendments to this Grant shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council by twenty-one affirmative votes.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its final passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
