ENACTED 03/17/1998

WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services is in need of space in order to provide food services to the citizens of Davidson County; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Social Services have negotiated a lease agreement for office space at 806 Fourth Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37210 with American Office Park Properties L.P., a copy of which is attached hereto; and

WHEREAS, the lease is for a period of thirty-six (36) months commencing February 1, 1998 and ending January 31, 2001; and

WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Metropolitan Government to approve said lease agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1:That the lease agreement between The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Department of Social Services, and American Office Park Properties L.P for office space, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby approved and the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the same.

SECTION 2:That any amendments to this lease agreement shall be approved by resolution of the Metropolitan Council receiving twenty-one affirmative votes.

SECTION 3:That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
