AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE METROPOLITAN MAYOR TO EXECUTE A FOURTH AMENDMENT TO THE MAY 21, 1979 AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF BRENTWOOD FOR THE PURCHASE OF WASTEWATER TRANS-PORTATION AND TREATMENT CAPACITY IN THE CENTRAL SUBDRAINAGE AREA.

WHEREAS, the City of Brentwood requested capacity in sewer facilities constructed by the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services to transport its sewerage flow; and

WHEREAS, the City of Brentwood agrees to fund its share of the construction costs of existing and future sewer facilities in the Central Subdrainage Area.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT OF NASHVILLE AND DAVIDSON COUNTY:

SECTION 1: That the Metropolitan Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the fourth amendment to the May 21, 1979 agreement with the City of Brentwood on behalf of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. A copy of the agreement is attached hereto and made a part of this Ordinance by reference.

SECTION 2: That future amendments to this agreement may be approved by Resolution of the Metropolitan Council.

SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, the welfare of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County requiring it.
