The Metropolitan Council met in special session on this date at 10:00 a.m. at Bridgestone Arena pursuant to Section 1.08 of the Metropolitan Charter and the prior adoption of Resolution RS2017-641.
The Metropolitan Council gave the allegiance to the American Flag.
The invocation was offered by Father Charles Strobel.
Nashville Youth Poet Gray Bulla performed his poetic work.
Musical guest CeCe Winans performed.
Vice Mayor David Briley called the special session to order and introduced Mayor Megan Barry.
The State of Metro address was presented by The Honorable Megan Barry, Metropolitan Mayor.
The benediction was offered by Pastor Frank Stevenson, Rabbi Laurie Rice, Imam Ossama Bahloul and
Bishop Dr. Jose Rodriguez.
Upon motion duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
