Minutes Special Metropolitan Council Meeting Thursday, April 30, 2015

The Metropolitan Council met in special session on this date at 10:00 a.m. in the Grand Reading Room of the Downtown Public Library pursuant to Section 1.08 of the Metropolitan Charter and the prior adoption of Resolution RS2015-1435.

Council Pro Tempore Matthews led the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.

The invocation was offered by Charles Strobel, Founding Director Room In The Inn.

President Neighbors introduced 2015 Nashville Youth Poet Laureate Lagnajita Mukhopadhyay.

President Neighbors called the meeting to order and introduced musical guest Dierks Bentley.

The State of Metro address was presented by The Honorable Karl F. Dean, Metropolitan Mayor.

The benediction was offered by James “Tex” Thomas of Jefferson Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Upon motion duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
