The Metropolitan Council met in special session on this date at 10:00 a.m. at Music City Center pursuant to Section 1.08 of the Metropolitan Charter and the prior adoption of Resolution RS2013-584.
Council Pro Tempore Carter Todd led the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.
The invocation was offered by The Most Reverend David R. Choby, Bishop of Nashville.
President Neighbors called the meeting to order and introduced musical guest Brad Paisley.
The State of Metro address was presented by The Honorable Karl F. Dean, Metropolitan Mayor.
The benediction was offered by Reverend James “Tex” Thomas of Jefferson Street Missionary Baptist Church.
Upon motion duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
