The Metropolitan Council met in special session on this date at 10:00 a.m. at Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet pursuant to Section 1.08 of the Metropolitan Charter and the prior adoption of Resolution No. RS2011-1609.
President Pro Tempore Walter Hunt led the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.
The invocation was offered by Bishop Joseph Walker, III of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
President Neighbors called the meeting to order and introduced musical guest Nancy Griffith.
The State of Metro address was presented by The Honorable Karl F. Dean, Metropolitan Mayor.
The benediction was offered by Reverend Phil Barnes of Madison Church of Christ.
The meeting was adjourned without objection.
