Metropolitan Council Meeting
Thursday, April 7, 2011


The Metropolitan Council met in adjourned session on this date at 6:00 p.m. in the Metropolitan Courthouse.

The invocation was offered by Councilman Randy Foster.

The Metropolitan Council gave the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.

The roll was called and the following members were present during the progress of the meeting: Tygard, Steine, Matthews, Harrison, Hunt, Craddock, Hollin, Cole, Bennett, Forkum, Ryman, Gotto, Stanley, Claiborne, Page, Moore, LaLonde, Baker, Langster, Evans, Holleman, McGuire, Foster, Dominy, Wilhoite, Hodge, Coleman, Duvall, Todd, Mitchell and Neighbors (31); “Absent” Garrett, Barry, Maynard, Jameson, Jernigan, Burch, Gilmore, Crafton, Adkins, Toler (10).

- BILLS ON SECOND READING -

BILL NO. BL2011-873

An ordinance abandoning a 10 inch sanitary sewer line and easement, Project 11-SL-0004, Bristol Germantown, Alley Numbers 221 and 205 associated with Map 082-13, Parcel 199.00, located between Madison and Jefferson Streets, and authorizing the execution of the documents to carry out said transaction (Proposal No. 2011M-002ES-001). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission; the Planning, Zoning and Historical Committee approved the bill with an amendment. Mr. Hodge offered Amendment No. 1 and moved for its adoption, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council. Mr. Hodge moved to pass the bill on second reading as amended, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2011-902

An ordinance approving and adopting a plan for redistricting the Councilmanic Districts of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County and revising the school districts pursuant to Article 18, Section 18.06 of the Metropolitan Charter. The bill was approved by the Planning Commission and Planning, Zoning and Historical Committee. Mr. Gotto offered Amendment No. 1 and moved for its adoption, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council. Mr. Gotto moved to pass the bill on second reading as amended, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

Upon motion duly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
