Metropolitan Council Meeting

The Metropolitan Council met in regular session on this date at 6:00 p.m. in the Metropolitan Courthouse.

The invocation was offered by Councilmember Pam Murray.

The Metropolitan Council gave the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.

The roll was called and the following members were present during the progress of the meeting:  Dozier, Neighbors, Tucker, Briley, Dread, Gilmore, Isabel, Hunt, Craddock, Murray, Jameson, Cole,  Forkum, Ryman, Brown, Gotto, Burch, White, Loring, Page,  Greer, Pepper, Wallace, Walls, Whitmore, Crafton, Evans, Summers, Shulman, Adkins,  Foster,   Wilhoite, Hodge, Toler, Coleman,  Williams, Tygard and President Gentry (38); Absent: Hart, Alexander, Duvall (3).

- COMMITTEE REPORTS ON MATTERS OTHER THAN LEGISLATION -

The following proposed amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Metropolitan Council were distributed and will be considered at the next regular meeting of Council:

Rule No. 8

Amended by adding the following new paragraph:

            “No resolution requesting information or action from a Metropolitan Government department, agency,
            board or commission shall be placed on the agenda unless the sponsoring Member of Council has first
             requested the information or action by letter at least thirty days prior to filing the resolution. A copy
            of the letter requesting the information or action must be attached to the resolution at the time it is filed.”

Rule No. 25

Amended by adding the following provisions at the end of the second paragraph:

            “All presentations of memorializing and congratulatory resolutions shall be limited to five (5) minutes each,
             and no more than two (2) such presentations shall be allowed at any meeting of the Council. Members of
            Council wishing to makes presentations of memorializing and congratulatory resolutions shall schedule the             presentations with the Council Office.  The Council Office shall schedule the presentations for each meeting
            on a first come, first served basis.” 

- ELECTIONS AND CONFIRMATIONS  -

Plumbing Examiners and Appeals Board
Appointment of Mr. Edward Galbreath for a term expiring February 15, 2011. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended the appointment and Ms. Neighbors moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.

Reappointment of Mr. John A. Harris, Jr. for a term expiring February 15, 2011. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended the reappointment and Ms. Neighbors moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.

Public Library Board
Reappointment of Mr. Michael J. Schoenfeld for a term expiring April 6, 2014. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended the reappointment and Ms. Neighbors moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.

- BILLS ON PUBLIC HEARING  -

BILL NO. BL2006-1177 

An ordinance amending Section 17.20.120 of Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code, Zoning Regulations, by modifying the basis for calculating a financial contribution in lieu of sidewalk construction, all of which is more specifically described herein (Proposal No. 2006Z-164T).  The bill was disapproved by the Planning Commission.  Mr. Crafton move to defer the bill to the July public hearing, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2006-1198

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from AR2a to CS district property located at Una Antioch Pike (unnumbered), along the northeast corner of Una Antioch Pike and Goodwin Drive (0.23 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2006Z-030U-13).   At the request of the sponsor, Mr. Ryman moved to defer the bill indefinitely, the bill being requested by James A. Rust and Mitchell Whitson et ux, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2006-1297 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing a portion of the property from AR2a to SP zoning located at 7848 McCrory Lane, adjacent to the CSX Railroad and south of Highway 70 (30 acres) to permit 180 townhomes, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2006SP-174G-06). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Mr. Tygard requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and citizens were heard in favor of and in opposition to passage of the bill.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Tygard moved to pass the bill on second reading and defer the bill one meeting, the bill being requested by McCrory Lane Partners, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1351

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from RS20 to RS10 zoning property located at 3715 Sugartree Place, approximately 190 feet north of Abbott Martin Road (0.48 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-003U-10). The bill was disapproved by the Planning Commission.  Mr. Shulman moved to defer the bill to the July public hearing, the bill being requested by Dale and Associates, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

SUBSTITUTE BILL NO. BL2007-1359

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from AR2a to RM2 zoning property located at Whites Creek Pike (unnumbered), approximately 440 feet east of the intersection of Whites Creek Pike and Old Clarksville Pike (5.04 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2006Z-192G-01). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.  Mr. Hunt requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill, and citizens were heard in favor of passage of the bill.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Hunt moved to defer the bill on second reading, the bill being requested by Hayden and Richardson Investments, LLC, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1362

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from R15 to CS zoning a portion of property located at Whites Creek Pike (unnumbered), approximately 190 feet south of Knight Drive (.11 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2006Z-198-03). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.  Mr. Hunt requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Hunt moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1367

An ordinance amending Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code, Zoning Regulations, by amending Section 17.40.120 to provide a process for periodic review of older planned unit developments which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No 2007Z-026T).  The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Ms. Wilhoite moved to defer the bill, which motion was seconded.   Mr. Tygard moved to table the motion to defer, which motion was seconded and adopted  by a voice vote of the Council.   Mr. Tygard requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and citizens were heard in favor of passage of the bill.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Tygard offered Amendment No.1 and moved for its adoption, which motion was seconded.  Ms. Williams moved to table the motion to amend, which motion was seconded and failed by a voice vote of the Council.    The matter recurred on the motion to amend, which motion was adopted by the following vote: “Ayes” Briley, Hunt, Craddock, Forkum, Ryman, Brown, Gotto, Burch, White, Crafton, Hodge, Toler, Tygard, Gentry (14); “Noes” Dozier, Neighbors, Tucker, Murray, Loring, Page, Pepper, Walls, Whitmore, Shulman, Wilhoite, Coleman, Williams (13); “Abstaining” Dread, Isabel, Jameson, Cole, Greer, Adkins (6).   Mr. Tygard moved to pass the bill on second reading as amended and defer the bill one meeting, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council

BILL NO. BL2007-1394 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from IWD to CS zoning property located at 506 and 520 Fesslers Lane, at the northeast corner of Elm Hill Pike and Fesslers Lane (1.72 acres total), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2006Z-171U-11). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Mr. Greer requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Greer moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1395 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by amending the SP district for properties located at 1737, 1741, and 1745 Glen Echo Road, southeast corner of Glen Echo Road and Hillmont Drive (3.07 acres), to add the property located at 1749 Glen Echo Road (.97 acres) for 4 additional single-family homes and a stormwater detention facility for a total of 16 single-family homes on 4.04 acres, all of which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No. 2006SP-007U-10). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.  Mr. Shulman requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and a citizen was heard in opposition to passage of the bill.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Shulman moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1396 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from RS40 to CL zoning property located at 7194 Whites Creek Pike, approximately 875 feet north of Union Hill Road (1.25 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-025G-01). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Ms. Gilmore requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Ms. Gilmore moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1405 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from AR2a to SP zoning, property located at 8811 Newsom Station Road and Newsom Station Road (unnumbered), approximately 1700 feet northwest of Coley Davis Road (141.4 acres), to permit  16 two-family units, 35 townhome units, and 197 single-family homes, for a total of 248 units, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2006SP-093G-06). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Mr. Crafton requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Crafton moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1406 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by amending a Planned Unit Development district located at 8118 B Sawyer Brown Road, approximately 350 feet south of Esterbrook Drive, to permit a 14,200 square foot addition and 20 additional units for an existing Assisted Living Unit, all of which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No. 98P-003G-06). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Mr. Crafton requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Crafton moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1407 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by amending the adopted Belmont-Hillsboro Neighborhood Conservation Overlay to include various properties located along Ashwood Avenue, Wildwood Avenue, Brightwood Avenue, Dallas Avenue, Paris Avenue, Cedar Lane, and Clayton Avenue, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-059U-10).  The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.  Ms. Pepper requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and citizens were heard in favor of and in opposition to passage of the bill.  Documents were filed in opposition to passage of the bill.  The President declared the public hearing closed. BILL NO. BL2007-1408

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by canceling a Planned Unit Development district located at 6640 Nolensville Pike, approximately 700 feet south of Autumn Oaks Drive, approved for a 16 unit motel and a 3,000 square foot restaurant (3.36 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 111-83-G-12). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.

BILL NO. BL2007-1409

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from AR2a to SP zoning to permit 96 dwelling units consisting of 22 courtyard townhouses, 74 rowhouses, and a maximum of 125,450 square feet of commercial at 6640 Nolensville Pike, approximately 610 feet north of Concord Hills Drive, with a portion of the property located within a Planned Unit Development District (12.0 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007SP-040G-12). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.

BILL NO. BL2007-1410

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from CS to SP on property located at 2730 Lebanon Pike, approximately 260 feet west of Old Lebanon Pike, to permit an "automobile repair" use and all other uses permitted by the CS zoning district and for final SP approval of same (1.49 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007SP-064U-14). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Mr. Loring requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Loring moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council. 

BILL NO. BL2007-1411

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from R10 to SP zoning property located at 2433 Buena Vista Pike, approximately 770 feet west of W. Trinity Lane (5.01 acres), to permit the development of 23 multi-family units and a 250 seat religious institution within a 2-story, 27,000 square foot building, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007SP-048U-03). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.  Mr. Isabel requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Isabel moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1412 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from MUL and R8 to RS7.5 zoning properties located at 2517 Edge-O-Lake Drive, 2521 Edge-O-Lake Drive, and Edge-O-Lake Drive (unnumbered), approximately 250 feet east of Murfreesboro Pike (.77 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-047U-13). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Ms. Wilhoite requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and citizens were heard in favor of and in opposition to passage of the bill.  Documents were filed for the record on this proposal.  The President declared the public hearing closed. BILL NO. BL2007-1413 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from AR2a to RS15 zoning properties located at 4515 and 4525 Cato Road, approximately 1,580 feet west of Briley Parkway (33.1 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-031G-03). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.  Ms. Gilmore requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. BILL NO. BL2007-1414 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from AR2a to RS10 zoning property located at 3316 Anderson Road, approximately 230 feet north of Country Hill Road (2.38 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-044U-13). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.  Ms. Wilhoite requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Ms. Wilhoite moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1415 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by canceling a portion (three parcels) of a Planned Unit Development district located at 7614 A and B Highway 70 South, and 7634 Highway 70 South, approximately 880 feet east of Coley Davis Road, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 94-71-G-06).   The bill was disapproved by the Planning Commission.

BILL NO. BL2007-1416

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing 2.69 (acres) from SCR and 11.95 acres from MUL to RS40 zoning, properties located at 7614 A and B Highway 70 South and 7634 Highway 70 South located within a Planned Unit Development district, approximately 880 feet east of Coley Davis Road (total 14.64 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-046G-06).  The bill was disapproved by the Planning Commission.

Mr. Crafton requested a hearing from the public on these bills which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bills and no one came forward to be heard.  The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Crafton moved to pass the bills on second reading and defer the bills indefinitely, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1417 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by amending a portion of the Commercial  Planned Unit Development located on the west side of Franklin Pike, north of Gale Lane, to permit 33 attached townhomes, 5 flats over retail, 58 detached single family townhomes, and 4,200 square feet of retail and restaurant uses where 40,000 square feet of retail was approved, all of which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No. 89P-022U-10). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. 

BILL NO. BL2007-1418 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from SCC to MUL zoning property located at Gale Lane (unnumbered), approximately 660 feet west of Franklin Pike Circle (6.95 acres) and within a Planned Unit Development district, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-041U-10). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. 

Mr. Greer requested a hearing from the public on these bills which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bills and citizens were heard in favor of and in opposition to passage of the bills.  Petitions were filed in opposition to passage of the bill.   The President declared the public hearing closed.   Mr. Greer offered Substitute Bill No. 2007-1418 for filing and no objection was made.

Mr. Greer moved to pass the bills on second reading and defer the bills indefinitely, the bills being requested by Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

SUBSTITUTE BILL NO. BL2007-1419 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from R40 to SP zoning a portion of properties located at 5638 and 5640 Granny White Pike, approximately 1,150 feet north of Old Hickory Boulevard (3.23 acres), to permit 6 lots within a proposed subdivision, with a single detached residential unit on each lot, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007SP-038G-10). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission.  Ms. Williams requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.  The President asked if anyone desired to be heard for or against the bill and citizens were heard in favor of and in opposition to passage of the bill.   The President declared the public hearing closed. Ms. Williams moved to pass the bill on second reading, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1420 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by canceling the Planned Unit Development District Overlay on property  located at the southeast corner of Nashboro Boulevard and Flintlock Court that was approved for 144 multi-family units in two six-story buildings (4.48 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 74-79-G-13). The bill was disapproved by the Planning Commission. An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by canceling an Urban Design Overlay district named "Salem Gardens" for properties located at 1623, 1627, 1631, 1633 and 1635 6th Avenue North, at the corner of Garfield Avenue and 6th Avenue North, approved for one mixed-use building allowing four residential/commercial/office ground floor flats, one corner retail space, and eight apartment units, as well as two buildings with four townhouses in each, all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2005UD-011U-08). BILL NO. BL2007-1424 

An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from R8 to MUL zoning property located at 1002 Lawrence Avenue, at the northwest corner of 10th Avenue South and Lawrence Avenue (0.15 acres), all of which is described herein (Proposal No. 2007Z-055U-10). The bill was disapproved by the Planning Commission. Mr. Greer moved to defer the bill to the July public hearing due to insufficient notice, the bill being requested by Alex Rustioni, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1433

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. BL2005-878, as amended, by repealing the provisions that declared the former thermal site property owned by the Metropolitan Government to be surplus and authorized the transfer of the property to the Industrial Development Board, which would have allowed for the construction of a new minor league baseball stadium and mixed-use development.  Mr. Wallace objected to passage of the bill on first reading and the bill was deferred  pursuant to Rule No. 12 of the Rules of Procedure of the Metropolitan Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1434 

An ordinance amending Chapter 6.80 of the Metropolitan Code to provide for the suspension of wrecker driver  permits in certain circumstances.  Upon motion duly seconded, the bill passed first reading and was referred to the Public Safety-Beer and Regulated Beverages and Transportation and Aviation Committees by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1435  

An ordinance amending Chapter 15.48 of the Metropolitan Code pertaining to the adjustment or reimbursement of water and sewer charges.  Upon motion duly seconded, the bill passed first reading and was referred to the Budget and Finance and  Public Works Committees by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1436 

An ordinance amending Section 16.24.330 of the Metropolitan Code pertaining to the parking and storage of motor vehicles.  Upon motion duly seconded, the bill passed first reading and was referred to the Codes, Fair and Farmers Market Committee by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1437 

An ordinance authorizing the Metropolitan Government to enter into Utility Relocation Contract No. 6272, with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, to relocate certain facilities, located from the Harding Place Extension, Couchville Pike.  Upon motion duly seconded, the bill passed first reading and was referred to the  Budget and Finance and Public Works Committees by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1438 

An ordinance authorizing the Metropolitan Government to enter into Utility Relocation Contract No. 6950, with the State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation, to relocate certain facilities over Mill Creek.  Upon motion duly seconded, the bill passed first reading and was referred to the Budget and Finance and Public Works Committees by a voice vote of the Council.

BILL NO. BL2007-1439

An ordinance to amend the Official Street and Alley Acceptance and Maintenance Map for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County by abandoning portions of Alley No. 205 and Alley No. 221 (Proposal No. 2007M-037U-08). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission and Traffic and Parking Commission. Upon motion duly seconded, the bill passed first reading and was referred to the Public Works, Traffic and Parking and Planning, Zoning and Historical Committees by a voice vote of the Council.
