The Metropolitan Council met in regular session on this date at 7:00 p.m. in the Metropolitan City Hall.
The invocation was offered by Reverend Breen of St. Edwards Catholic Church.
The Metropolitan Council gave the pledge of allegiance to the American Flag.

Board of Electrical Examiners and Appeals
Appointment of Mr. Jim Hagey to the Board of Electrical Examiners and Appeals
for a term expiring February 15, 2007. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections
Committee recommended the appointment and Mr. Greer moved for confirmation,
which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Appointment of Mr. Raymond Vandiver to the Board of Electrical Examiners and Appeals for a term expiring February 15, 2007. Board of Parks and Recreation
Reappointment of Ms. Susan Short Jones to the Board of Parks and Recreation
for a term expiring April 30, 2008. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections
Committee recommended the appointment and Mr. Greer moved for confirmation,
which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Board of Plumbing Examiners and Appeals
Appointment of Mr. Ron Hasty to the Board of Plumbing Examiners and Appeals
for a term expiring February 15, 2007. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections
Committee recommended the appointment and Mr. Greer moved for confirmation,
which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.
Public Library Board
Appointment of Ms. Brenda Wynn to the Public Library Board for a term expiring
April 6, 2010. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended
the appointment and Mr. Greer moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded

BILLS ON PUBLIC HEARING -
An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by changing from RS40 district to MUL district a portion of property at 7305 Whites Creek Pike, abutting the western margin of Whites Creek Pike, (41.5 acres), all of which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No. 2003Z-002G-01). The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Ms. Gilmore moved to defer action on the bill to the public hearing in July, the bill being requested by Joe N. Smith, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.
An ordinance amending Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code, Zoning Regulations, by adopting Sections 17.16.110 and 17.16.210 in their entirety and that portion of the district land use tables pertaining to waste transfer stations found at Section 17.08.030 as currently written in the Metropolitan Code of Laws for The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, as published by the Lexis Nexis publishing group, for the purposes of designating waste transfer stations as special exceptions (Proposal No. 2003Z-007T). Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County,
by canceling the undeveloped Commercial Planned Unit Development located abutting
both sides of Murfreesboro Pike and both sides of Hobson Pike and Old Hickory
Boulevard, classified CS and AR2a, (100.7 acres), all of which is more particularly
described herein, (Proposal No. 62-72-G-13). The bill was approved by the Planning
Commission. Ms. Holloway requested a hearing from the public on this bill which
had been previously advertised. The President asked if anyone desired to be
heard for or against the bill, and no one came forward to be heard. The President
declared the public hearing closed. Ms. Holloway moved to pass the bill on
second reading and defer the bill for third reading to the first meeting in
June, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council.
An ordinance to amend Title 17 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, the Zoning Ordinance of The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, by amending the Green Hills UDO Design Guidelines to provide an additional incentive to include residential development in mixed-use buildings by exempting floor space designed and constructed for residential use from being counted as floor area for the purpose of calculating the floor area ration on a lot, all of which is more particularly described herein (Proposal No. 2002UD-001U-10). After discussion Mr. Tygard called for the previous question, which motion was seconded and adopted by a voice vote of the Council. The bill was approved by the Planning Commission. Ms. Balthrop requested a hearing from the public on this bill which had been previously advertised.
