expiring June 30, 2005. In the absence of the appointee, the confirmation was
deferred without objection.
Appointment of Ms. Carol Singletary to the Auditorium Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2005. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended the appointment, and Ms. Williams moved for confirmation, which motion was seconded and adopted by a unanimous vote of the Council.

Special Committee
Appointment of Ms. Meg Mazzone to the CATV Special Committee for a term expiring
March 1, 2003. The Rules-Confirmations-Public Elections Committee recommended

Center Commission
Reappointment of Ms. Irwin Fisher to the Convention Center Commission for a

An ordinance approving the acceptance of a paperless, electronic law enforcement
block grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to The Metropolitan Government
of Nashville and Davidson County, acting through the Department of Metropolitan
Police for the benefit of various departments of the Metropolitan Government.
The bill was approved by the Budget and Finance, Education and Public Safety-Beer,
Wine and Whiskey Committees. Mr. Shulman requested a hearing from the public
on this bill which had been previously advertised. The President asked if anyone
desired to be heard for or against the bill, and no one came forward to be heard.
The President declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Shulman moved to pass

A resolution approving the property at 3332 Sidco Drive to be used for a waste

A resolution requesting the Mayor, the Nashville Sports Authority, and the Tennessee
Titans to name the football stadium the “Nashville Coliseum”, or
other similar name until a new contract for naming of the football stadium has
been executed. The resolution was approved by the Parks, Library, Recreation
and Auditorium Committee. Mr. Wallace moved to adopt the resolution, which motion

An ordinance establishing a program for the purpose of providing assistance
to low-income elderly residents of the Metropolitan Government for the fiscal

An ordinance repealing Section 10.20.287 of the Metropolitan Code which provided
for a waste generation fee of six dollars per ton of solid waste generated or
collected and disposed of out of Davidson County. Mr. Waters moved to defer
the bill indefinitely so that additional information could be obtained on the
matter, which motion was seconded and adopted without objection.

the necessary documents to secure wastewater grants and loans from the State

An ordinance authorizing the Metropolitan Government to enter into Utility Relocation

(Briley Parkway) and Metro Project No. 02-WG-28, and ratifying an agreement

Code and amendments thereto and correcting outdated procedures and clarifying
